About Freeroamchicks | Overlanding Photographers & 4×4 Content Artists
Astrid and Bec
Freeroamchicks: We are Astrid and Bec, overlanding photographers, 4×4 content creators, and passionate storytellers who believe adventure and purpose go hand in hand. After serving in non-profit and emergency-response roles, we left conventional careers to travel from Australia to Alaska, using our cameras and skills to partner with non-profits, document grassroots causes, and inspire action through visual storytelling.
Our journey isn’t just about ticking destinations off a map. It’s about creating tangible outcomes for the people, animals, and communities we meet. Whether it’s volunteering for non-profits, helping shelters raise visibility for animals in need, or documenting grassroots efforts that don’t usually get the spotlight, every kilometre we drive is in service of a bigger purpose.
While we use social media and the internet to connect with people, share our journey, and amplify our message, we don’t want the relationship to stop online. Whether it’s meeting our sponsors, supporters, or the communities we help, we value real-life connection. This could look like 4x4 events, coffee catch ups, collaborative workshops, or on-site volunteer days, opportunities to share experiences, create memories, and showcase the impact of every partnership in person.
Collaboration & Impact | How We Work With NFPs, Brands & Communities
Traveling by road allows us to connect with places and communities in a way no other platform can. Remote tracks, hidden corners, and challenging terrain become our classroom, showing us how resilient and creative people and organisations are in solving problems. And with our background in photography, video, and marketing, we can turn those stories into compelling campaigns that reach global audiences, connecting businesses and communities to causes that matter.
We also know the value of partnerships. Our journey is built to showcase brands who share our values, not just by logo placement, but by integrating partners into meaningful storytelling and real-world action. From on-the-ground projects to long-term campaigns, we aim to create opportunities for our partners to be part of adventures that make a difference.
What drives us is simple: a belief that purpose and adventure aren’t mutually exclusive. Every challenge we face, every story we capture, and every cause we support is a step toward proving that bold travel can leave a lasting mark. We want to show the world that with curiosity, courage, and a little creativity, it’s possible to explore, inspire, and impact, all at once.
Join us as we turn the open road into a platform for change, one adventure at a time, online, on the ground, and in person.
